Disclaimer

Pigmity publishes information, not advice, and does not hold your money. What that means for how you should use anything on this site.

We publish information, not advice

Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. We describe products, rules and costs. We do not know your circumstances, and no page here recommends what you should do with your money.

Where a guide reaches a conclusion, it is a conclusion about a product, not about you.

We are not an institution and we never hold your money

Pigmity is not a bank, a co-operative society, a Nidhi company, a deposit-taking institution, a payment service, a regulator, a government body, a financial adviser or a distributor of financial products. It is not affiliated with any institution it writes about. We do not accept deposits, we do not hold funds, and we will never ask you to transfer money to us for a deposit or an investment.

If anyone contacts you claiming to collect a deposit on our behalf, they are not us. Tell us at hello@pigmity.com.

Pigmity sells nothing

Everything published here is free to read. Pigmity does not currently sell any product or service, and it does not arrange, introduce or recommend deposits with any institution. If that ever changes, the pages affected will say so.

We take no payment for placement or for a favourable mention, and we publish no ranked "best of" list. Our editorial policy sets both out in full.

Figures change, and ours are dated

Interest rates, commission caps and regulations change, often without announcement. Every figure we publish names the institution or authority it came from and the date we read it. That date is part of the fact. Confirm anything you intend to act on with the institution itself.

The calculator is an estimate

Indian institutions do not share a single method for calculating interest on daily deposits, and most do not publish theirs. The maturity calculator states its assumptions next to the result. It produces an estimate, never a quotation, and it cannot tell you what any particular institution will pay you.

Third-party sites

We link to institutions, regulators and news reports so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, which may change after the date we recorded.

Errors

If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@pigmity.com and we will check it against the published source and correct it. Our correction practice is set out in the editorial policy.
