What this estimate assumes
This is an estimate, not a quotation. It assumes interest accrues every day on your running balance at the rate you entered, using a 365-day year, and is added to the balance every three months (change this under "Advanced"). Your bank or society may calculate differently: some pay simple interest at maturity, some compound monthly or yearly, some use a 360-day year, and some deduct agent commission or charges from your deposits. Banks round interest to the nearest rupee at each credit, and closing the account early forfeits or reduces interest under the institution's own rules. Rates shown for named institutions are as published on the date stated and change without notice. Check your passbook and the scheme's terms before relying on any figure. Pigmity is an information site, not a bank, and does not offer this product.
Formula basis
Pigmity's generic model, documented in a decision record dated 9 September 2026. The rate is the figure you enter, not a rate Pigmity supplies. Pigmity does not produce institution-specific maturity figures: where an institution publishes its interest method, its directory profile shows it, but no single published method determines the result on its own.
