Check for yourself before acting
- Ask the institution for the current rate in writing. Published rates change without notice.
- Ask what you would receive if the account is closed early.
- Ask how interest is calculated and when it is credited.
- Check the DICGC insured-bank list yourself on the day you decide.
Pigmity is independent and is not affiliated with Cosmos Bank. This is not the institution's page, not an official register, and not a recommendation.
Each fact shows its source, the date Pigmity read it, and whether the source states an effective date. “Not publicly stated” means the reviewed source was read and does not give the fact. “Not established” means Pigmity has not established it. Neither means no.

Pigmity's analysis
Cosmos Bank publishes a 3.00% rate on a 12-month pigmy scheme that accepts between ₹100 and ₹5,000 a day.
The upper limit changes what the product is
At ₹5,000 a day, the scheme stops being small-change saving and becomes a way for a trader to sweep a day's takings. The ₹100 minimum is also ten times the ₹10-a-day minimum that Latur Urban Co-operative Bank publishes, so the scheme as written suits a regular saver more than a marginal one.
What the page does not say
It does not state how interest is applied: on the daily balance, credited quarterly, or as simple interest at maturity. 6 of the 18 institutions in our directory state a method for their daily-deposit product. The gap matters because two schemes quoting the same percentage can pay different amounts, so ask before you judge any figure.
